Hi! My name is Jessie Fincham, welcome to my blog Messy Jesse.
As you can tell I love to sew! It's such an important part of my life. I have always enjoyed being creative for as long as I can remember, but developed more of a passion for sewing in my late teens and started this blog as a place to document my progress soon after. I have dabbled in patchwork and quilting though the years, though I started my first official quilt in 2011 and haven't stopped since!
I work a day-job, and I also run my own online quilt shop called Sew and Quilt. I have always dreamt of owning my own sewing shop, so I finally made it happen in October 2012. We sell a beautiful range of hand-picked fabrics with a vintage feel, as well as a great selection of 1930's reproduction fabrics - to satisfy my need! ;) Aurifil threads and a large range of english paper pieces.
I live in far, far! south-west of Cornwall, England. We bought our first house in 2011 and we've been turning it into a home ever since. When I'm not working or sewing, I love doing DIY projects! My other passion is collecting vintage treasures for our house. I go crazy for the summer car-boot fayre's and try to check out my local auction house every month. I am quite the magpie for bright and colourful vintage things; my favourite's are Pyrex, vintage sheets, fabric, sewing baskets and milk glass. I also have a real weakness for anything kitchen related, table linens, storage items etc - the list goes on! Thanks for stopping by!
